Roanoke loves its beer. If you ever had any doubt about that, I hope you let it go when Deschutes Brewery announced in March that it would locate its East Coast operations right here at home. The decision was thanks, in large part, to the spirit this community displayed with the @Deschutes2Rke social media campaign. Deschutes joins Roanoke’s quickly growing network of breweries, and if you’re a beer drinker, you should visit them all. Start with this map and list of breweries in the greater Roanoke Valley. Visit them one by one or schedule a tour to safely visit multiple sites with friends and family. (Check out breweries statewide.)
